This marked the beginning of international piano maestro Lang Lang’s global tour. During an interview with Zhang Ying, Chairman of Hong Kong Julong International Cultural Tourism Development Company, it was revealed that Lang Lang delivered a musical feast blending technical mastery and emotional depth as a New Year’s artistic gift to Hainan audiences. Following the Lingshui performance, Lang Lang immediately departed for New York to prepare for his Carnegie Hall concert.
During the recital in Lingshui, Lang Lang performed 17 classical and Romantic masterpieces, including Fauré’s *Pavane*, Schumann’s *Kreisleriana* Op. 16, Chopin’s *Étude Op. 25 No. 11 "Winter Wind"*, and Liszt’s *Transcendental Étude No. 4 "Mazeppa"*. The program highlighted both the lyrical delicacy of Romanticism and the structural rigor of Classicism, fully showcasing Lang Lang’s "pinnacle of artistic prowess."
The concert also featured guest performances by talented young pianists from around the world. Their innocent yet promising renditions infused youthful vitality into the event, underscoring the power of intergenerational musical heritage. The children’s performances not only earned thunderous applause but also became a highlight of the evening. With this concert, the Lang Lang Music World officially opened its doors in Qingshui Bay, launching global enrollment—a vivid embodiment of the vision to "root culture in Hainan."
In a pre-concert interview, Lang Lang shared that Hainan’s unique natural environment inspired his performance: "Before every concert in Hainan, I take walks along the beach at Qingshui Bay. Being close to nature allows my musical creativity to flow freely. I also adore Lingshui’s local delicacies, like sour rice noodles (*suanfen*) and fresh seafood." He expressed hopes of contributing to Hainan’s cultural development through music education and exchanges, advocating for more international artistic events. He extended an invitation to global artists and friends to visit the Hainan Free Trade Port and experience the pristine beaches of Qingshui Bay.
Meticulously planned by Hong Kong Julong International Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. and Hainan Julong Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., the concert exemplified seamless collaboration. Beyond staging a high-caliber performance, it elevated Qingshui Bay’s reputation as a "Cultural Bay Area" through the fusion of art and tourism. Lang Lang’s breathtaking performance drew prolonged applause, leaving the audience in awe. More than a sensory delight, his music served as a bridge, conveying heartfelt blessings and the harmonious blend of international cultures.
